In this Irish Embassy sponsored working lunch held on July 12th, 2017, Irish Foreign Minister Simon Coveney met with 8 Palestinian and 8 Israeli civil society activists to discuss problems preventing progress towards a peaceful resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict (IPC). This followed the publication of the most recent issue of the Palestine-Israel Journal (PIJ), Lessons From the Northern Ireland Peace Process. PIJ contributors touched on the lessons that can be taken from Northern Ireland’s peace process and applied to the IPC, and how Ireland can positively impact peace-building between Israelis and Palestinians.
