Khalid Ali Mustafa Born in Ein Ghazal village near Haifa in 1939, he became a refugee
since the Nakba of 1948 and lives in Iraq. A poet, literary historian, and scholar,
Khalid Ali Mustafa is professor of Arabic literature at Al-Mustansiriyya University
in Baghdad. His first collection of poems, Basra-Haifa, appeared in 1975. His book
Modern Palestinian Poetry (1978) discusses the thematic aspects, general technique
with respect to form, diction, imagery, and style.
