Uri Avnery

Uri Avnery is the elder statesman of the Israeli peace movement. He is a former member of Knesset (1965-74), a co-founder of the Israeli Council for Israeli-Palestinian Peace, one of the first Israelis to engage in dialogue with the PLO leadership and a founding member of the Gush Shalom movement.
