A medical doctor by training, Dr. Karmi heads the London-based International Campaign for Jerusalem and is chair of the Palestinian Community Association in the U.K. Her books include Jerusalem Today: What Future for the Peace Process? (1996) and the co-edited The Palestinian Exodus: 1948-1998 (Ithaca, 1999).
