John Ashley works as an adviser in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, in matters relating to food security and community development. He studied psychology under Professor Oliver Zangwill at Cambridge University and has a doctorate in physiology from University College London[k1]. He lives variously in Ramallah and the Armenian quarter of the Old City, Jerusalem. He has had poems published in magazines in London and Dublin.
