Avraham Shomroni survived the Holocaust as a one of
the children rescued in the Kindertransport (“children's
transport"). He has worked in the fields and in the factory
in addition to being a kibbutz educator, and is a peace
activist who participates in Bereaved Families Forum
activities. This article is a response to the article by Meir
Margalit in PIJ Vol. 21 No 2 (2015), “Jerusalem Between
the Veteran and Younger Generations.”
The peace camp can convince more people by speaking the language of traditional
Jewish hearts — by combining our rational view with empathy, solidarity, and emotional
and cultural content.
