Katharina Koch

Katharina Koch is an education and research officer at UNU-MERIT at Maastricht University. She has carried out numerous diaspora mapping studies for among others GIZ in Germany and the DRC in Denmark,has an MSc in Migration Studies from the University of Oxford and her main areas of interest are migration and health, specifically mental health.


The Palestinian Diaspora in Germany
Palestinian migration to Germany first started in the 1950s, became active in the Palestinian resistance movement after 1967 and its focus changed again after Oslo when the center of gravity of the national struggle moved from the Diaspora to the homeland territory.
