Amir Akiva Segal

Amir Akiva Segal is a poet, writer, and literary critic, as well as a Jerusalem activist. He is a PhD student at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Department of Sociology, whose research focuses on immigration. Segal won Hebrew University’s Rachel Negev Prize for Poetry (2020) and Harry Hershon Prize (2014). He has published three books of poetry and a novel, as well as multiple articles in the daily press and in literary journals. He hosted a program called Protest Poetry on the All for Peace radio station in Jerusalem. His book Protest Poetry in Israel is soon to be published by November Publishing. He lives in Jerusalem with his wife Anya and their three children.
