Alistair Little and Gerry Foster served time in prison after fighting on opposite sides in Northern Ireland, Alistair on the Unionist side and Gerry on the Republican side. Today they work together to help build peace in Northern Ireland. Alistair Little’s story was adapted into a Hollywood film, Five Minutes to Heaven, with Liam Neeson as Alistair. On July 17, 2016, they were hosted by the Israeli-Palestinian organization Combatants for Peace at the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation offices in Tel Aviv. What follows is a summary of their presentations to an Israeli audience.
