Said Hamad is a retired Palestinian career diplomat. He served as deputy head of mission in Washington, DC at the time of the peace talks, and later as ambassador to Mexico, Belize and Canada. He now serves as director of the international relations office of Hebron University and is an elected member of the city council of his hometown, Al-Azariya.
