Boaz Atzili

Dr. Boaz Atzili is a professor in the Department of Foreign Policy and Global Security School of International Service at American University in Washington, D.C. His interest is in international security with an emphasis on the politics of borders, borderlands and territoriality, asymmetric deterrence, and the international aspects of state weakness, with a focus on the Middle East and South Asia. His books include “Good Fences Bad Neighbors: Border Fixity and International Conflict,” and “Triadic Coercion: Israel’s Targeting of States that Host Nonstate Actors” (with Wendy Pearlman).
