Edmund B. Lambethis a professor at the University of Missouri School of Journalism and the author of committed Journalism, An Ethic for the Profession. He designed the Journalism and Democracy capstone course for news editorial majors at the Missouri School of Journalism at taught it for the first time at the Communications Department of the University of Haifa, where he served as a 1997-98 Fulbright scholar.
